About Us
Bungreave Community Radio is one of the most effective communication tools operating throughout the world and the United Kingdom. The 'LIVE' radio shows can be picked up from different parts of the world by clicking on the Listen In Live link. 
 

 
MISSION STATEMENT
To provide a professional quality 24 hour community radio service to listeners, providing them with information, different languages, music and debates also providing a platform for people to voice their opinions and views.
 
Burngreave Community Radio is currently webstreaming online, anyone, throughout the world who has an internet connection can listen across the world.

The founders of Burngreave Community Radio have over a total of 50 years of live radio broadcasting and Djing skills and experience throughout UK and Europe. The management team has skills and experience in the field of live radio broadcasting and are now being transferred onto to other younger generations to become radio broadcasters of the future.

BCR has over 80 presenters, some on reserve that bring a wealth of different skills, knowledge and experience to BCR, they all broadcast in different  musical styles including Soul, RnB, Hip Hop, Garage, Drum & Bass, Dub Step, Rock, Pop, Funky House, Jazz, World Music, Kurdish, Asian Remixes, Bhangra, African Beatz, Reggae Lovers, Dancehall, Ragga and Revival.

 Burngreave Community Radio would like to apologise to all their dedicated listeners but especially those listeners that usual tune into BCR in their cars and in their house on a FM stereo for the interruption in the radio service and for any inconvenience caused

BCR stopped broadcasting on the FM dial on 22 September 2011, following a request from OFCOM to cease transmission over the airwaves.  

 

At the year's Annual General Meeting, BCR members agreed to apply for another FM license

BCR is positively using this transitional period to make neccesary improvement to their radio service, including; offering a online advertising service, relocating the transmitter to higher ground that will improve the reception quality and increase the coverage area. Also plans to re-brand the company, including a new logo and a more interactive media website with videos and a ‘Listen again’ feature, designing a dedicated App and RDS Facility etc.

 

Thank you to everyone that continues to support BCR through this transitional period for your understanding and assistance, this includes our listeners, talented broadcasters, volunteer workers, management and business partners.

BCR 103.1 FM Official Membership

BCR has over 200 signed and paid members. To become a member of Burngreave Community Radio just email us or ring to arrange to come in a complete a membership form.
 
BCR has tried to keep the membership fee as low as possible. Annual Membership fees are: £15 Employed (Fulltime), £10  employed (part time) and £5 for the unemployed. Please note: membership for people aged 18 yrs & under and over 65 are FREE.
